Lima Recommendations

Lima Recommendations

Lima is placed high up on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with the Costa Verde connecting many of the neighborhoods along the coast. There is a beautiful Malecón, or board walk, that is great for walking or jogging along this beautiful coastline. For those interested in Incan, or Pre-Incan History, some great museums are Museo Nacional de Arqueología and Museo Arqueológico Larco. There is also a classic Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour that takes you around popular sites such as the Lima Cathedral, Huaca Pucllana and Plaza Mayor. To get around Lima, we recommend using the Cabify, Uber or Taxi Satelital apps. You can also ask the hotel reception for assistance in arranging taxis. We do not recommend using street taxis or public transport. Due to Lima's traffic, we also advise against renting a car—taking a taxi is a much more convenient option. This video has a pretty good itinerary of things to do around Lima, other than eating, of course.
