We have decided that we are going to do a private ceremony the morning of the 21st, and instead host a nice party for everyone to celebrate with us. The planning and expenses just began to be too overwhelming so we appreciate you understanding!
This is a good ole fashioned cookout in a field on a riverfront property. It is the first day of summer in the Appalachian Mountains, it might just be the most beautiful day, but it could very well be toasty. Feel free to dress in relaxed summer attire, no dressing up is necessary so wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Swimsuits could be fun if you feel like getting in the river, but don't forget a towel!
Weather can range widely at this time of year in the mountains. If the weather is in our favor you can expect sunshine and highs in the 70s-80s with lows anywhere from 50-70 degrees. If the weather has other plans for our big day, it could very well stick around in the 50s-60s and be quite cool the whole time.
RSVPs are nice. Please RSVP through the website or text/email to help us get an idea of how many people to expect.
We wish your kids could join us, but we think it best if we just say no kids at all this time. We love you and your families, but there is just a lot of supervision required with being so close to the river, we would rather not have to worry about that.
The address is listed on the schedule page of this website. There will be parking in the field as well as along the gravel road as well as signs and markers to direct you, can't miss it.
We will provide food and a decent amount of beverages, beer, wine, liquor, and some NA options. Feel free to bring your favorite drinks or some side items to share, but no pressure.
