Meghan and Carolyn met on the first day of freshman orientation at Notre Dame when they were neighbors in Lewis Hall. Since then, they have shared in an incredible number of life experiences together, from being college roommates, to each completing psychology PhD programs in Chicago (thus living together again!), and navigating all of life's twists and turns in between. No matter the life stage, Meghan is a constant cheerleader and steadfast friend. Carolyn is so excited to soon share another life experience with Meghan by marrying an incredible guy that was met... on a dating app!

Caiti and Carolyn both lived in Lewis Hall at Notre Dame, but didn't realize their true friendship potential until post-college when they reconnected in Chicago. They quickly regretted all of the lost time when they discovered mutual loves of running, house plants, margaritas, and sale sections. Caiti made a big move from Chicago to Ann Arbor in 2017 which inspired Carolyn to explore far-reaching places for her upcoming internship... including Kansas City! Thanks for the inspiration, Caiti! ❤️

Paul and Patrick met in college when they faced each other in the annual campus Strong Man competition. Just kidding. They met in marching band. :)

Erin is an ND grad (sensing a theme here!) and she and Carolyn became close friends when they attended St. Clement Church together in Chicago. They became even closer as they both fell in love with running and trained for the Chicago Marathon together, thus spending hours upon hours (upon hours!) trotting along the lakefront beside each other in any and all forms of Chicago weather. Carolyn has been desperately searching for a Kansas City running buddy, but oddly nobody else is up for running 12 miles in the snow!

Katie is... you guessed it, an ND grad! She and Carolyn met during a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland, and they haven't stopped laughing at each other's jokes since. Although Katie and Carolyn haven't lived in the same city since college, they have managed to visit each other regularly and have spent many, many hours on the phone commiserating over bad first dates and sharing silly moments. Here's to no more bad first dates, but lots of ongoing silly moments!

Sam is a fellow Indianapolis native, ND grad, and was Carolyn's first roommate in Chicago post-college. Sam has been there for it all, the good and the hard - and all of it meaningful! One of the most amazing parts of their friendship was watching Sam get married and become a mother. She is the best mom with the coolest kids, and she continues to accomplish amazing feats in her work and personal life. Basically, Sam is #goals and Carolyn hopes that if she stays around long enough that Sam will share her secrets to doing it all!!!

Jess is an ND grad and an amazing physician who will be graduating from her Chief Residency in Family Medicine on the same weekend as our wedding... what timing!! Jess and Carolyn have been friends since the start of college and there is no one with a bigger and more loving heart for others than Jess. Carolyn is so proud of Jess for her numerous accomplishments on residency, most of all her tireless care of patients in greatest need during the past two years of the COVID pandemic. Congratulations, Jess!! ❤️
