While we couldn't wait to celebrate our love with friends and family from all across the globe, life events have gotten in the way. Patrick had major surgery in mid-March, which has impacted our wedding plans. Patrick is doing well and we are expecting a full recovery! But it is very important that over the next few weeks and months we are able to fully focus on the recovery. We've made the decision to celebrate with immediate family only. Pat and Becca met online in August 2018, the perfect place for two introverts to come together. After a week-long series of texts (some way past Becca's bedtime), where they connected over mutual geekiness, they knew it was time to meet. Their first date was over dinner at Wild Olive, and then they were attacked by ninjas! (Not really, but it would be a fun story.) Patrick proposed on Thanksgiving evening 2020, after watching a Hallmark movie and a new episode of Supermarket Sweep. They still haven't been attacked by ninjas (probably for the best), and Pat still stays up way past Becca's bedtime. They are still geeky, and they can't wait to get married.
