Sara and Alana were unexpected roommates at FSU during Alana's junior year. To explain the "unexpected" part: Sara had to terminate her existing lease early because of a rat infestation, and Alana's existing roommate had to sublease her room after stabbing her boyfriend with a broken wine bottle (he survived). After cleaning the blood stains, Sara moved in to Ms. Stabby's room, and the rest is history. The two became fast friends. After multiple visits to and from Tampa and Atlanta, dozens of music festivals, lots of spicy beats, discussions of Call Her Daddy episodes, political rants, and crazy adventures together, their bond has only grown since college.
Brian Doyle
Best Man
Brian is Patrick’s younger—though somehow taller—brother. Growing up, they shared countless interests, from Boy Scouts to saxophone in band, always pushing each other with a little brotherly competition. Brian nearly beat Patrick to Eagle Scout, despite a four-year age gap, sparking Patrick to finish his own. Later as roommates in Atlanta, their bond only deepened—though Brian never missed a chance to humble Patrick in video games, while Patrick swears his jokes were always funnier. Rivalry aside, they’ve always been the best of friends, and Patrick couldn’t be happier to have Brian as his Best Man.
Trey Moore

Trey and Patrick, though at Georgia Tech at the same time, didn’t meet until after school in San Francisco. Their friendship quickly grew through a shared love of adventure, from ski trips to crossing the Drake Passage to Antarctica, where they loved to explore while sharing some ridiculous banter. Trey has a way of encouraging Patrick into new experiences while keeping him grounded—like the time he inspired him to go vegan for a month in Argentina, sort of—and has been one of Patrick’s closest friends ever since.
Kelly Doyle

Kelly is Alana's soon-to-be sister-in-law, and Alana is very excited to have her as part of the wedding party (and even more excited to finally have someone in the family who will sit still long enough for a makeover session). Kelly has a big heart, a contagious laugh, and an excellent knack for discovering great sour dough in Atlanta. Alana feels lucky to be marrying into a family that includes her and can't wait to make new memories together.
Carl Smith
Groomsman
Patrick first met Carl on a late-night Cane’s run while visiting Brian at UGA, but their real friendship began years later as roommates at the Phoenix House in Atlanta. Most nights were spent playing board games, binging shows, or watching NHL and NFL games, with plenty of wing runs to Local or nachos at Atkins Park mixed in. Carl introduced Patrick to new hobbies like golf and frisbee golf, and has been a steady, fun-loving friend who always made life a little better.
Melissa Murphy

Melissa and Alana met in 1L at Emory. Their friendship blossomed one night at Tongue & Groove when Melissa invited Alana to a VIP table, only for the both of them to be rejected from said table. The night quickly took a turn when they were then asked to join Wacka Flacka Flame's VIP table, where they had Mr. Flame prepare them drinks and buy them pizza. The two shared their love of having fun and still doing better than others in law school. Both of them reject the idea of "simplicity", and encourage the other to be as "extra" as possible. From long nights at the library, to plotting world domination, these two together are a force to be reckoned with.
Thomas Spencer

Thomas and Patrick met in elementary school when their biochemist parents thought their sons should hang out, and they quickly became inseparable. From summers on the trampoline and PlayStation marathons to the roller coaster of co-founding a startup together, their friendship has spanned nearly every chapter of life. No matter how busy things get, they always find time for a mountain bike ride and remain each other’s closest confidants.
Shelby Peek

Shelby and Alana became quick friends in 1L after going against each other in a graded litigation simulation. Shelby, who is now a litigator, went easy on Alana, who cries when she speaks in public. After a bottomless mimosa session, they decided to be roommates. They lived together through the transition from law students to big law attorneys. Their apartment looked like the Always Sunny Pepe Silvia meme while they studied for the bar exam. Alana can't imagine going through that time without Shelby. They supported each other with the help of late night Insomnia/Whole Foods brown butter cookies, Netflix reality shows, lots of pasta, free therapy sessions, and Santa Julia Malbec (and they still bond over that holy combination every chance they get).
Harley Stout

Harley and Patrick became fast friends at Sigma Nu, trading jokes and obscure movie references late into the night. From 3am grapefruit snacks in the library to their shared love of Lord of the Rings—complete with a legendary road trip to New York City to see the trilogy in concert—Harley has always been a source of laughter and camaraderie. Beneath the humor, he’s been one of Patrick’s most reliable and loyal friends.
Allie Powell

Allie is Brian’s fiancée—and soon-to-be Alana’s sister-in-law—which has already led to plenty of “sister-in-law in training” moments, from brunches to wine tastings while the boys disappeared on ski trips. Patrick first met her at Neighbors, when Brian conveniently forgot to mention they were brothers before they met up, and Alana got to know her soon after she and Patrick started dating. The two very quickly clicked. Between late nights in Atlanta, visits out in Colorado, and plenty of cat talk, Allie has become both family and a friend—always ready for a laugh, a tea session, and a glass of wine.
Kris Surapaneni

Kris was one of the first friends Patrick made at Georgia Tech, and their paths have crossed through college, California, and Atlanta. Whether sneaking into the rave cave at Tomorrowland or another night at Dark Horse, Kris’s energy always drew people together and introduced Patrick to many close friends. Known for his playful predictions—like the one that Patrick would someday marry Alana—Kris has been both a partner-in-crime and close, loyal friend.
