Upper Shirley Vineyards
Upper Shirley is one of our daytime favorites AND where Patrick proposed! It's just a short drive from Chester / Richmond and has delicious food, great wine, a beautiful view of the James River, and frequently music on the patio!

Richmond's best brunch. The groom's favorite: Chicken & Red Velvet Waffles. The bride's favorite: Lobster Biscuit. A must-do: Breakfast Shots. Trust us.
Brambly Park Winery
This (primarily outdoor) winery is in the heart of the city (Scott's Addition) and has great scenery, drinks, snacks, and often live music! We've really enjoyed it!
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery - West Creek
We love this brewery! Check out their website / social media to find out if they have live music, food trucks, etc.
Brown's Island
Have an Uber drop you off at Browns Island and do some exploring of our beloved Richmond! From there, you can walk across the pedestrian bridge to Belle Isle and enjoy some trails or plop yourself down on a rock in the river to soak up the scenery!
Carytown
Carytown is Richmond's quirky little shopping / dining area downtown. We especially love New York Deli for lunch and the bride especially likes walking through Lou Lou and Fabrik boutiques!
Penny Lane Pub
Great place to catch any of the top five European football leagues; despite the fact that it is a Scouser hang out (This means it's a Liverpool supporters club hangout -- the Groom's team's rival.). The Groom loves it.
Ashton Creek Vineyard
Ashton Creek is Chester's little winery -- and we love it! They have great snacks and yummy wine slushies and frequently music on the patio!
