HOW WE MET It was Thanksgiving evening and Cristina was swiping through Tinder. She came across this nerdy stud, thought "look at this handsome devil," and then swiped right. Patrick was very focused on mastering his turkey baking skills at Travis & Jess' place but beforehand decided to explore the LA Tinder scene. After multiple thumb swipes left, he came upon Cristina's profile; no words, just pictures. He could not stop staring at her amazing smile and beauty. After swiping right, he hoped he could share his smile with her. It was a match! After talking and getting to know each other for a few weeks, Patrick asked to take Cristina on a date on December 30, 2018. Patrick arrived to pick Cristina up and when she went to answer the door, there he was with a beautiful bouquet of hand picked roses. Cristina knew then and there this one was a keeper. Patrick knew she would become more than a smile in his life. It was the best first date either one had ever had. THE PROPOSAL On December 24, 2020 Cristina and Patrick were sharing a Christmas Eve meal with great friends since they were not able to be with their families as they had hoped. Cristina asked to take some pictures by the Christmas tree to send to our family. Cristina was trying to get Patrick to pose with her but she turned around to see Patrick on one knee! Cristina was in so much shock as Patrick told her he loved her, wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked if she would marry him. Cristina said "YES!" Both Cristina and Patrick cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together, creating new memories, raising a family and growing old together. A swipe right on Tinder changed their lives forever.
