It all started at a Nepali restaurant in California. Alina was a hardworking server, and Patrick was a hungry customer (a theme that continues to this day). He placed his order, and we clicked instantly. Before we knew it we were spending all of our time together. ❤️✨
Fast forward, Patrick decided to move closer to his family in Virginia and asked Alina to come with him. Now, let’s be real—packing up and moving across the country is a big deal, but so is love! So, Alina followed her heart. ❤️
And then came Alina's birthday—Patrick planned a surprise sunset proposal on the Lincoln Memorial with his family hidden, ready to capture the moment. Picture this: the golden glow of the monuments, a pink sky, the perfect evening… and Patrick driving Alina to frustration as he rushed her unwittingly to the proposal spot in time for sundown. All was forgiven when he got down on one knee, popped the question, and, of course, Alina said YES! (Wouldn’t it be awkward if she didn’t?)
We originally planned to get married on the anniversary of our first date, but in Hindu culture it’s important to choose an auspicious time and date. As a result, April 14th turned from a Hindu into a Hin-don't. 😂 So we found the next closest date that was both meaningful to us and blessed by tradition—making our special day even more perfect! ✨💛
Now, after five years of laughter, blessings, and adventures we are finally here—ready to celebrate this next chapter with all of you! So, let’s eat, drink, and celebrate because tonight - love wins! ❤️🥂🎉
