In 2017, Cara accepted a job at Silence Dogood's Tavern (& Big Red Pedal Tours) in Old City, Philadelphia where she met Pat who was one of the head bartenders there. She was immediately drawn to his smile, dark curly hair, and adorable glasses. They quickly struck up a friendship and Cara quickly struck up a crush, making sure to conveniently be at the bar whenever Pat was bartending. Pat was captivated by Cara's big brown eyes and smile, and really enjoyed their conversations, but didn't feel ready for a relationship. After several months of playing cat and mouse, Pat finally took Cara on a proper date to his favorite Mexican restaurant, Tequilas. Little did he know, she'd be the last girl he'd take on a "first date" and they've been drinking margaritas and eating tacos together ever since! In seven years, life as a couple has lead them from Philly to West Chester, PA where they began new careers and their favorite little guy, Franklin (the mini bernedoodle), made them a family of 3. And just like the first date, Pat took his time on proposing...but it was worth the wait!!
