Flight
Please note that due to Ride Share (Uber) restrictions at the Madrid airport, they are not allowed to pick you up from the terminal. The best recommendation is to take a taxi from the airport instead. There will be signs pointing to the taxi area. For the rest of the trip you will have no issues with ride share apps (Uber), as the restrictions only apply to the airport.
Rental Car
We recommend skipping the rental car! Driving in Madrid can be tricky due to restricted zones, complex rules, and limited parking. Instead, take advantage of the city’s excellent public transportation or use Uber, which works seamlessly. Most wedding events and attractions are close by and easy to reach. Let us know if you need any tips!
House Or Rental
Madrid offers plenty of Airbnb options to suit different preferences. Here’s a breakdown of the best areas to consider: 1. Our Top Picks: • Barrio de Salamanca and Alonso Martínez are our personal favorites. • We will be staying near the Alonso Martínez Metro station. 2. Convenient Metro Stations: • To stay close to the main attractions, consider accommodations near these Metro stations: Gran Vía, Ópera, Callao, San Bernardo, Bilbao, Alonso Martínez, Banco de España, Serrano 3. Hipster Vibes: • The Chueca and Tribunal areas are trendy and full of character. (We love these neighborhoods!) 4. Areas to Avoid: • We recommend avoiding the Lavapiés area. (Lavapiés and Tirso de Molina Metro stations) If you have any questions, feel free to text Patricia! :)
