We met through an ultimate frisbee friend and it took Patty leaving DC for us to hit it off. We started talking long distance and our relationship blossomed through our mutual love of National Parks. After a few cross-country dates, the rest is history!

On our way to camping with a group of friends, we stopped for a hike. Tim was excited for Patty to take a picture of him and Fern as it was Fern's first time in Virginia (to which Patty rolled her eyes). While she was taking photos, Tim surprised Patty by pulling out his late grandmother's engagement ring! She said yes!
