Additional Parking Parking is available on the street There is also Public Parking within walking distance of the Museum: There is a parking lot behind Griswold Corners & Griswold Square directly across from the Griswold inn. To access the lot, take a left onto Ferry Street across from the Griswold inn. By taking a left or a right, you will land in our parking area. In addition, there is public parking at the Essex Police Station across from the Essex Library at 16 Grove St, Essex. This lot is located near the Essex Town Green, where public restrooms are available next to the green. Electric Vehicle Charging: The town-owned parking lot near the Essex Town Green and Post Office features an electric vehicle charging station. This dual Level-2 charger is available for both residents and visitors. How to Get to the Essex Town Green & Public Parking Lot: Follow Main Street into Essex. Turn right onto West Avenue when you approach the start of the Main Street shops. Continue until you see the Essex Town Green on your right. The municipal parking lot is located behind the Essex Post Office, next to the green.
