The first time I actually came across Patricia was on my birthday 8 years ago. I was sitting around waiting to celebrate my birthday with my family and was scrolling through Facebook when out of nowhere I noticed her profile. So, I did what any guy would do when he notices a beautiful woman. I POKED her!! I poked her on Facebook I mean of course. She was coming back from a vacation and was waiting around for her luggage, so I caught her attention at the right time. Whether she was interested or just bored at the moment I don’t know (I tell myself it is because she was very interested) but she responded, and we struck up an ongoing conversation that went late into that day. We had these conversations for over a month getting to know each other more and more before we decided it was time to meet up for dinner. That night over dinner we got to talk for hours and as the night went on it became apparent to me that I was definitely right where I belonged. I made up my mind that night “I will win her over completely one day” I told myself as I left our dinner. We’ve had many dates and many adventures along the way with so many more yet to come. Luckily for me this chapter of our love story has a happy ending, and I can happily say with confidence I finally did win her over when she said YES!!
