Please plan to RSVP by September 5, 2021. This will give us enough time to finalize the guest count with the venue.
The dress code is semi-formal, though feel free to dress up more if you'd like to. Most importantly, wear something you're comfortable in.
We're planning on having the ceremony and reception indoors. If the weather is nice we might have the ceremony outside in the garden, however since it'll be in November we're planning on staying mostly indoors. Please note that our guests will have access to the castle's garden and yards to wander around in, (there will be signs showing what areas are off limits), so we'd recommend bringing a warm jacket as well so you can enjoy the outdoor areas if you want.
We'll need to start cleaning up around 8:15pm to 8:30pm in order to have everything taken care of when our time is up at 9pm.
We plan on having various foods in keeping with our viking/rustic theme. This will include chicken and beef, as well as some bread and cheeses, vegetable side dishes and fruit platters. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us so we can consider them. Please let us know if you have any food allergies so we can make accommodations.
Due to the contract we have with the venue, and the long drive, we have decided not to serve alcohol at the reception. We plan on having plenty of things to drink though, including sparkling cider, hot chocolate, hot cider, various teas, and coffee.
We don't mind photos being taken during the reception, and want everyone to feel free taking photos to preserve memories and capture the beauty of the venue. However, we will have a photographer taking photos during the wedding ceremony for us and taking photos of us around the venue, so please be mindful of him and allow him to get the shots he wants.
We will have parking available at the castle and are looking into overflow parking, however we encourage carpooling when possible.
