Wedding Party

Patricia Millard

Bride

Patricia Millard is from Merrillville, Indiana, and has the pleasure to be born into the most incredible family. A theatre kid and IU alum that has miraculously found herself an MBA holder in the corporate world, Patricia relocated to New Jersey for work in 2022. When she found out she was being sent to New Jersey, her response was, “Isn’t that the armpit of America?” Needless to say, she ended up meeting a weird guy in the armpit and the rest is history. She is still surprised he didn’t think she was a scammer when she shared that the move was temporary and she was going to be moving again in 8 months to another work site. For some reason he believed her, and they tackled the coast-to-coast long distance once she moved to Carlsbad, California. After many video calls, being thrown into the world of professional wrestling, and countless tins of fish, she was ecstatic when their long distance was coming to an end and he asked her to marry him. For the wedding, Patricia is excited to welcome her loved ones to the place she now calls home so they can see what brought her here. Most of all, she is excited to marry Jens Blazer Rodolpho Kewl Beans Ridiculous Lloyd (or is it Llyod?) and continue to experience and explore this universe together.

Jens Lloyd

Groom

Deep in an ancient forest, a tree was felled and, days later, Jens emerged from the tree's stump. Indeed, his name means "child of the stump" in the language of the forest folk. [Note: Jens' mother has expressed displeasure with this fabricated bio. If only she'd raised a more sensible and serious child...] Having left the forest for civilized life in Morristown, Jens is overjoyed to be marrying Patricia. Meeting her has confirmed for Jens the undeniable truth of every nice thing that Kurt Vonnegut has written about Hoosiers. As for the wedding, Jens looks forward to enjoying the evening with family and friends. A celebration with good food and good music at a local museum? Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

Zayna Ajam

Maid of Honor

Zayna Ajam, from Valparaiso, IN, met Patricia at Forest Ridge Academy in the 4th grade—and they’ve been best friends ever since (without ever having a single fight, which feels like a world record). The real bonding began at Zayna’s birthday sleepover, where they secretly stayed up all night playing video games while everyone else slept (sorry, parents). From there, it was nonstop summers of sleepovers, gaming until sunrise, and somehow still being awake when Patricia’s mom showed up bright and early to take her to church. Patricia became an honorary Ajam and even learned one Arabic word: "Coca-Cola." A favorite memory? Playing an unreleased version of Halo entirely in French, watching early 2000s internet videos like Hampster Dance, and staying up until sunrise pretending to be rockstars on Rock Band. Zayna can’t wait to celebrate love, friendship, and possibly start a Rock Band reunion tour at the reception.

Elliot (Ferris) Foley

Man of Honor

Ferris comes from Merrillville, Indiana, and currently resides in the vibrant city of Chicago. Their connection with the bride began in Mr. Hinkle's second-period Biology class. Ferris, seated in front of Patricia on the very first day, struck up a conversation asking about her uniquely shaped bowling ball purse, sparking an instant connection. The following semester, Ferris begged Patricia to join the theater program. After some gentle persuasion, Patricia embraced the performing arts, further solidifying their bond. High school became an adventure for the duo. From playfully naming Patricia's first car to referring each other for summer jobs at the mall and even sharing a locker so Patricia could get to her AP classes faster. Patricia played an important role in making Ferris's high school years truly enjoyable and memorable. One particularly cherished memory from their college years involves Patricia's 21st birthday house party- after a few drinks, Ferris and Patricia found themselves on the bathroom floor, crying and sharing their gratitude for their friendship. Ferris is eagerly anticipating the wedding day, especially the moment when Jens and Patricia share their first dance as husband and wife and also can't wait to find out what flavor the cake will be.

Anya Lloyd

Best Lady

This is Anya Lloyd, Jens’ younger sister. Having lived her whole life knowing Jens, it’s hard for her to say a specific favorite memory (said in the cadence of Bruce Bogtrotter saying, “It’s hard for me to remember a specific cake.”). From playing Rush on N64 and James Bond on GameCube, to watching scary movies like Final Destination and The Orphanage... No matter what they are doing, he is one of the people in her life that she truly giggles the most with. One of her more recent favorite memories was when she visited him in Jersey in 2022. In true Blazer Lloyd fashion, they pregamed a WNBA game in Brooklyn with donuts and drinks. Perfection! A fun fact about Jens: He was at Staples Center in 2010 when the Lakers beat the Celtics in a Game 7 to win the championship. Yes, Anya is jealous, and no, he will never let her forget that. At the wedding, you’ll find Anya on the dance floor, cheersing to the lovely couple with a glass of wine in her hand. Congrats Jens and Patricia!

Lauren Hill

Bridesmaid

This is Lauren, she is from Indiana but currently lives in Wisconsin. She met Patricia in college and is a story of enemies to friends. We were in an acting class that focused on movement, and you know college kids and getting in tune with their body can only lead to trouble. Long story short she was the only one who showed up at Patricia's house for a party and she brought wine. Wine friends are the best friends and they drink wine together anytime they meet up, talk on the phone, or video chat. Fun fact they used to only drink Moscato and now can't stand that grape juice. Lauren looks forward to dancing hard and of course drinking during the wedding celebrations.

Sonina Hernández Mikkelsen

Bridesmaid

Sonina lives with her husband and daughter near Orlando, FL. In 2014 Sonina was planning a move to Hoosier country to attend grad school. She reached out to her sorority sisters for help and Patricia was the one to answer the call. Their friendship began to grow as they worked to found the Xi Upsilon chapter of Theta Nu Xi (TNX). They became even closer while reactivating the IU chapter of TNX and Patricia very kindly put up with a pregnant Sonina. Once the timer went off on the bun in Sonina’s oven, Patricia was one of the first people to know. She got off a very late work shift and drove 2 hours north to sit in the waiting room and entertain Sonina’s parents just so she could be the first one to ‘Boop’ the brand-new baby on the nose. To this day Patricia is known lovingly as Auntie Boop in the Hernandez-Mikkelsen house. Sonina is very excited to celebrate the love Patricia and Jens have for each other, and she can’t wait to party with them out on the dance floor!

Charlie Millard Redd

Bridesmaid

Charlie Millard Redd, is from Merrillville, Indiana but currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her loving spouse Britt Redd and Patricia's only niece, Paisley Redd (who is furry but apparently gets her long legs from her Auntie). As Patricia's only sister and sibling, she has known Patricia longer than she's known herself. We've lived a very colorful, musical, comedic, and yes DRAMATIC life together for the past 33 years. Charlie's favorite memory of Patricia is a compilation of sing-a-longs and dance parties to music that's an eclectic mix of songs that make sense to no-one, but us--and that’s totally okay! She's most excited about doing all of the line dances at the wedding, getting to spend more time with our newly minted family, and being there to support Patricia and Jens as they commit to tag teaming life and always kicking out. Love y'all!

Ian Lloyd

Groomsman

My name is Ian and I live in Lassen County, California with my wife (Natalie) and 4 children! I won't be able to attend the wedding because Natalie is actually due with another baby on Jens and Patricia's wedding day!   Jens and I have shared common interests for our entire lives. This includes numerous concerts and professional wrestling shows (in this photo, we're at the fan expo for WrestleMania 2000). In true 90s fashion, as a pre-teen, Jens was an integral part of our backyard wrestling federation and was carefully tossed by me and other angsty teenagers off of sheds and roofs onto cat-piss soaked mattresses (you had to be there...). In this role, he cut several well-received promos and developed a signature flare for the dramatic. This would go on to define his experience as part of the South Pasadena High School Drama Company, where he had several starring roles. He was a wonderful performer and has a beautiful singing voice that he probably has not busted out in years. He is an upstanding brother and a wonderful man. If I could attend the wedding, I would have looked forward to spending time with Patricia's side of the family. I only had the pleasure of meeting Patricia once when Jens was accompanying her (and her houseplants) on a cross-country road trip. Finding your partner and confidant in life is a great blessing. My family and I wish Jens and Patricia well as they begin their journey into marriage together!

Pat Millard

Mother of the Bride

Pat Millard is the Bride's proud mother who lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her daughter was lovingly named Patricia after herself and her mother (Granny Pat). One of her favorite memories with her daughter is the day Patricia got her very first car, lovingly named Frida—it was a moment of pure joy and independence. This was an amazing moment, but the day that stands out the most, the one that brought tears of joy to both her and her daughter, was when together they placed their hands on the rope and rang the bell—marking the end of Pat's fight with triple negative breast cancer. Through every tough night and every day, Patricia kept a smile on her mother's face. Pat is most excited about welcoming Jens into the family and the family game nights they will have in the future.

Father of the Bride

Coming Soon!

Ellen Lloyd

Mother of the Groom

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ellen has always adored animals, being in nature, and children. A retired teacher, she now feeds her passion for nature and for working with children by volunteering at a local botanical garden giving school tours. This picture shows Jens and Ellen on the "Skyfari" at the San Diego Zoo. This was his first trip there! She likes this picture because of this adorable little guy sitting next to her wearing the Zoo Patrol shirt! Looking at it, she can just feel Jens' often passionate, sunny disposition. List of fond memories: *The 2010 visit to Castle Howard in York, England (filming location for Brideshead Revisited) *In 2007, finishing the final Harry Potter book and keeping a list of completed chapters posted on respective bedroom doors so that they would know what they could safely discuss *In 2022, seeing Tears for Fears in concert together *Also in 2022, meeting up in Seattle for a weekend of NCAA championship softball at Husky Softball Stadium *Sharing our Rafael Nadal fandom *Watching and discussing the Tour de France every summer *That one time Jens hit the high notes in The Stylistics’ "You Are Everything" Ellen is most looking forward to being in Jens and Patricia's presence on their wedding day as it is truly heart-warming to feel the love and joy that they share between them. Something for us all to celebrate!

Rich Lloyd

Father of the Groom

Originally from the Boston area, Rich moved to California when he was 12. One special memory with Jens is traveling to Boston in 2014 to see a New England Patriots game. It was great for Rich to show Jens things that he remembered, even though things had changed so much. Aside from attending the game, they enjoyed a walk around Walden Pond, a visit to Lexington and Concord, and a proper lobster dinner! One of Rich's favorite photos is this one where he is holding Jens in a tent cabin at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. Rich's mom, Thelma, became friends with Ellen’s mom, Ethel. They were together nearly every weekend for 25 years. Rich and Ellen referred to them as The Moms and the kids got to know them as The Grandmas. Rich fondly remembers the many times that, bright and early on New Year's Day, they took Jens and his siblings to the Rose Parade (an extraordinary accomplishment given that the Grandmas always stayed up late the night before to celebrate New Year's Eve by watching Brideshead Revisited and drinking champagne).
