Traveling with mutual friends on a weekend vacation to Rohoboth Beach, we found comfort in each other's company amongst an RV full of strangers. Blaine remembers admiring a girl sitting alone watching the rain, and Patty recalls admiring the peach fuzz on his ears and the bulk of his muscles. After spending the weekend watching storms and playing in the ocean, we realized we may have something special here.
Our adventure started at the Atlantic. We fell in love over many days and across many states. While sharing 150 square feet in a camper, living thousands of miles outside our comfort zones, we learned a lot about each other- for better and for worse. Blaine used to joke and say "Will you marry me?" to which I always responded, "Every time." Then, standing again on the edge of water, this time 2,000 miles in the opposite direction, he asked again. I laughed at first, but then he stopped, pulled out the ring (which, btw, it was nighttime & dark, but the box had a little light in it- perfect!) got down on his knee, and said, "No, really this time." To which I of course said yes! And now we are so excited to celebrate our big day with you!
