In 2015, per the US Census Bureau, the population of NY was 8.427 million; Brooklyn, a borough in NYC had a population of 2.595 million. On a hot summer day in July 2015, I met the man that would become my future husband. It's rather surprising how small the film community it is; everyone has either worked with or has heard of each other. With that in mind, you understand my bewilderment when I met Jamie on a movie set, found out we ran in similar circles, but never had an opportunity to meet or work together....or so I thought. Over the span of filming, we found ourselves looking for moments where we could talk and be together. It was during one of these talks that Jamie informed me that, in fact, we had worked together earlier that year, February 1st, to be exact. On our last day of filming, we decided to split a taxi, as we lived a mile away from each other. By this time, I was head over heels and hoping he felt the same way. I figured, we've been flirting, and now that we are done with the movie, we can go on a real first date. The taxi pulls up in front of his building and Jamie proceeds to get out, without a word. Thinking, maybe this was a one-sided rom-com I've been manifesting in my head, I started to say my address to the driver when, out of nowhere, Jamie opens the door, leans in, and says, "I've been wanting to do this since I first saw you." It is and forever will be, the best first kiss I've ever had. As we look forward to the day we become Mr. & Mrs. Henson, we can't help but look back at the wonderful rollercoaster ride that we've been on for the past six years, and how excited we are for what the future holds. The family and friends that we have gained, the upbringing that we were both bestowed, and the everlasting love and support is why can't wait to celebrate the next chapter in our lives with the people we love the most! In Brooklyn, with a population of 2.595 million, we found each other.
