We met at the college group Bible study for Crossroads church at Tom and Gail Kay's house. We ended up having a conversation about the importance of sugar in one's diet (go figure!). As the semester went along, we ended up going on "group events" that turned into pseudo-dates because no one else would show up but us!

It was a dreary rainy day in Denver Colorado! On the day of the 18th, we had planned to visit Vail resort. Well, a rainy day in Denver very quickly turned into a blizzard in the Rockies! We pushed through roads, which we later learned closed for service behind us, in a super compact, eco rent-a-car. Upon arrival to Vail, we toured as many shops as did not close for the storm. After a lovely dinner of fish, our engagement became sealed on a bridge, under an evergreen, beside a brisk mountain stream.
