We're Getting married!!

We met through a mutual friend in 2012 and initially we were just friends. We hung out together, had fun, and partied. Brittni was in between figuring out if she was going to stay in Virginia after graduating or if she was going to move back to New Jersey when she received a call stating that she got the job at a behavioral health center. It just so happened that Wayne had already worked there as a supervisor. Luckily, we didn't work the same shift, but would see each other in passing almost all of the time. Let's fast forward to Wayne's 27th birthday. As Wayne was preparing for his birthday a group of friends were all hanging out one night and one mutual friend who noticed that we were flirting a lot stated, "Why haven't you guys dated?" We both stared at each other and said "I don't know" and went on with the rest of the night as if the question wasn't asked. Wayne was having a huge birthday party at a local bar/bowling alley and invited Brittni to it. Brittni went, not really knowing anyone there, but more interested in seeing Wayne. The night went on and Wayne and Brittni would occasionally laugh and flirt with each other. We thought it wasn't noticeable or that anyone would catch on , but you could tell that the chemistry between us was there. We began regularly texting and talking on the phone and finally Wayne asked Brittni out on a date. Our first date was at Friday's on 2/23/2012 and at that point we began to learn more about each other and set up another date at now one of our favorite spots in Newport News, Manhattans to hear The United Souls Band. It was apparent that our friendship was evolving, but it wasn't until a mutual friend eventually asked the question that everyone wanted to know "Why don't you guys just make it official already?" Wayne looked at Brittni and said "Well we're official now" and Brittni did NOT oppose lol. From that point forward our friendship, bond, and love has done nothing but grow and become closer! #143
