Our story began

In August 2012, Wesley added an unsuspecting girl on Facebook after laughing about a comment she made on a phone app called Ifunny. After an entire day of messaging back and forth on Facebook, Janessa took the leap and gave him her number. After about a month of talking in all forms, Wesley surprised Janessa with tickets to come out and meet her for the first time. He couldn’t wait to meet her. Little did he know he was falling in love with her. October 2012 Janessa drove to the airport to pick him up. When Wesley got off the plane they saw each other for the first time and knew when they looked into each other’s eyes it solidified their feelings about each other. They spent their first date at Denny’s off a highway exit that night. During the rest of this trip they spent every second they had together and Wesley knew he wanted her to be his girlfriend not knowing what he was getting himself into. Janessa took Wesley to the only tourist destination Redding CA had to offer (the sundial bridge). That is were Wesley asked Janessa to be his girlfriend even though he was super nervous and was facing the bridge, not her. Over the next two in a half years Janessa and Wesley spent their time traveling every 3-4 months back and forth to each other. Trying to make their long distance relationship work. On December of 2014 Wesley gave Janessa an ultimatum on her last visit out to Colorado... She moved that summer with her dog Wall e. Wesley and Janessa continued to grow their lives together with building a house, graduating nursing school, starting her career and adopting another dog. Wesley knew Janessa was the one and proposed on the beaches of Okinawa, Japan in September 2018 (multiple times because he blacked out and didn’t hear her say yes 10 times). This brings us to today and they are excited to start this next chapter of their lives together!
