Tolentino
(about 20 minutes from the villa) Tolentino is home to the International Museum of Humor in Art (MIUMOR) and is a center for religious, historical, and artistic interests.
Elcito
(about 25 minutes from the villa) Elcito is a small village perched on a rocky spur high on the slopes of Mount San Vicino. An old castle built to defend the Benedictine Abbey, it is the Tibet of the Marches.
Canfaito
(about 34 minutes from the villa) The Nature Reserve of Mount Canfaito and Mount San Vicino covers an area of 1450 hectares of protected land, and includes the town of San Severino Marche (where our villa is located). Large beech forests can be found all over the reserve, protecting different species of wildlife, such as the wolf, deer, wild cat, owl, peregrine falcon, and woodpecker.
Riviera del Conero e Colli dell'Infinito
(about 1 hour from the villa) The Conero Riviera is the high and rocky stretch of Adriatic coast that runs from the port city of Ancona down to the coastal town of Numana. The territory is protected under the Conero Regional Park, the first regional park in Le Marche region. Explore the seaside, hill towns, and medieval hamlets.
Assisi
(about 1 hour 10 minutes from the villa) Assisi is known for being the city where St. Francis and St. Clare were born, lived, and died. With it's UNESCO World Heritage status and long list of historical sites and churches, it is well worth the visit!
Spoleto
(about 1 hour 10 minutes from the villa) Spoleto is a walled medieval hill town in central Italy's Umbria region. As the home to the first Roman settlement, Spoletium (from 241 BC), you can find Roman remnants throughout this historic center.
Province of Perugia
(about 1 hour 20 minutes from the villa) With a pristine medieval centre and an international student population, Perugia is Umbria’s largest and most cosmopolitan city. Its centro storico (historic centre), seemingly little changed in more than 400 years, rises in a helter-skelter of cobbled alleys, arched stairways and piazzas framed by solemn churches and magnificent Gothic palazzi (mansions). Reminders of its lively and often bloody past are everywhere, from ancient arches and medieval basilicas to Renaissance frescoes by the likes of Perugino and Raphael.
