What should I wear?

Answer

Welcome Reception: Casual, jeans okay. Western attire is highly encouraged! Wedding: Summer Cocktail Attire. No jeans for wedding please.

What is "Summer Cocktail" attire?

Answer

Light weight fabrics in lighter colors/ floral pattern. Cocktail/ Maxi dresses for women and light suits or dress pants & blazer for men (tie optional).

Can I stay somewhere other than The Surf Hotel?

Answer

Yes, there are plenty of hotel/ AirBnb options in Buena Vista. Please note, we will not be providing transportation from other locations to The Surf, so plan accordingly. The room block at The Surf will close on July 3rd.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love all of your kiddos, the Ceremony & Reception will be child free. Children are welcome to attend the Pool Party & Welcome Reception.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to capacity limitations, only those listed on your invitation are invited.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, there is a dietary restrictions box to add notes when you make your meal selection. Any allergies listed will be noted on your name card and hotel staff will be notified.

Why Buena Vista?

Answer

Buena Vista was one of the first trips we took together. We have visited every year since. It became even more special when Justin proposed on the Barbara Whipple Bridge right outside of The Surf Hotel in Feb 2025!

August 1st will mark the 6 year anniversary of our first date together.
