Hers: Before we were us we were simply two familiar strangers — moving in the same high school circles, attending the same events, never realizing our forever was already in the room. Our story truly began in 2014 during our second year of college. Conversations became more frequent, stares lingered longer, and one ordinary afternoon turned into something unforgettable when Russell asked me to lunch. Just the two of us. We were only 17. And yes… it was Burger King. Salads, chicken sandwiches, and nervous excitement. But somewhere between the laughter and effortless conversation, my heart quietly chose him. Not long after, beneath the night sky we shared our first kiss — and at that exact moment, a shooting star streaked above us. It felt like heaven itself had given its blessing. From then on, we were inseparable. Eleven years later, on June 23rd, 2025, my 30th birthday he created the most magical day. Breakfast at Pelican Grill, a luxurious spa day, beautiful flowers, and a private candlelit dinner on the beach. As the night unfolded with firelight dancing in the air, I turned around to see the words “Will You Marry Me” glowing behind me. And without hesitation, my answer was yes. His: For years, she was there at the same events, surrounded by the same friends and somehow I didn’t realize she would become my forever. In college, something shifted. I started looking forward to our conversations. Lunch breaks felt different. So I asked her to lunch. Just us. It wasn’t extravagant, just Burger King and a simple meal.
