Very easy 90 mile drive with incredible views of Denali. Grab some spinach bread and check out all of the gift shops.
Homer
Homer is quite a dive from Anchorage, but is worth the hike! The drive to Homer is filled with beautiful views, and Kachemak bay does not disappoint. Grab a fillet at A&J's Steakhouse, take a drive down the spit and find some fresh oysters. Finish with a cocktail at the Salty Dawg Saloon, don't forget to buy a sweatshirt!
Cooper Landing
The blue waters of Kenai Lake next to Cooper Landing are a must see! Have lunch at the King Fisher, and grab a beer at Cooper Landing Brewing Company.
Girdwood
The Girdwood Brewery is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Take the tram to the top of Alyeska and have a drink and lunch at the Bore Tide, step out onto the balcony and this is where we got engaged! We love dinners at Jack Sprat and the Double Musky.
