On the rainy night of September 30th, 2015, in a dingy freshman hall stairwell, Emma asked Pat on a date. Two weeks later (and before we had had that conversation) we looked at each other and said, "Yes?" when asked if we were together. On September 30th, 2021, in a prairie during sunset, Pat asked Emma to marry him. Two years and two weeks later, we will celebrate our eighth anniversary and our wedding, and will share our thoroughly-discussed and enthusiastic "I do's."
