OUR STORY! In September of 2021, Marilyn and Michael met at Arena Lanes Bowling Alley (Oak Lawn, IL). Michael was looking to join a league and was told by one of the managers about Tuesday Night Mixed league. Michael waited around to meet the president of the league who he thought would be a "little old lady." To his surprise, he met the love of his life. The league did not have any vacancies for a permanent bowler, but Marilyn did need a sub for her team. As time went on, Michael found a league outside of Tuesday Night Mixed that needed a regular bowler. However, it was for a Tuesday night team leaving him not to be available to sub for Marilyn's team if needed. Marilyn thanked Michael for being a sub for that short time and expressed how glad she was that he was able to find a permanent position on another league. Michael was sad that he wouldn't be able to sub for her team. Marilyn assured him that this wasn't a "goodbye" and that he could always come back to visit her team at anytime. Marilyn and Michael remained in contact (texting) every now and again. It wasn't until February of the following year that the friendship took a turn for the better. Michael expressed his interest to Marilyn. The two of them began dating. On Father's Day, Michael proposed to Marilyn after receiving blessings for her hand in marriage from her brother Sergeant Joseph Keeter (CPD-retired). Marilyn's and Michael's journey cannot be summed up in this short summary. One day, they will sit down with you and tell the entire story. This journey that they are on is intrinsically designed by The Most High. They have both learned that it's all in HIS TIME, and their time is in HIS HANDS!
