Is there a dress code?

Answer

For our elegant coastal-inspired wedding, we encourage formal attire with a touch of summer colors and florals. Please avoid short dresses as we aim for a formal atmosphere. We also kindly ask you to avoid colors typically reserved for the bride such as white, ivory, and cream. For Women: • Dresses: Opt for elegant flowy dresses in summer colors. Feel free to incorporate floral patterns to add a fresh and lighthearted feel. Fabrics like chiffon, silk, or crepe will align well with the coastal vibe. • Accessories: Consider elegant sandals or heels that fit the coastal environment. Keep the jewelry simple. • Outerwear: A lightweight shawl or wrap in a complementary tone, in case of a cooler breeze from the water. For Men: • Suits: We recommend suits in navy blue, gray, beige or tan, paired with crisp white shirts. A linen or lightweight wool suit will balance the formal and coastal aspects well. • Ties/Bowties: Choose plain, floral, or subtly patterned ties that bring in lighter hues of color. • Shoes: Polished leather loafers or oxford shoes in light brown, navy, or black.

Is there parking?

Answer

Regatta Place offers valet parking for our guests. If you wish to leave your car and take an Uber or Lyft after the wedding, you can retrieve your keys from the valet the night of the wedding and pick up your car by 12 PM the next day.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:30pm. Please arrive by 5:15pm the latest to ensure that you can find a seat. In the event that you arrive after 5:30pm you will not be permitted to enter the ceremony space until the ceremony concludes.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Outdoors! Our wedding will be held at The Regatta Place at Goat Island Marina. The ceremony and reception will take place under a tent, surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The cocktail hour will be on the deck outdoors, with sun shades provided.

What if I didn't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided (June 1st), it will automatically be marked as "Not Attending". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Newport has an abundance of hotels to choose from! We recommend staying downtown or at the resort on the Island which is walking distance to the venue. There are Ubers and Lyfts in the area, as well as complementary valet parking at the venue. See the "Travel" tab at the top of the page for hotels we recommend and have discounted rates for!

Can we take photographs during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you respect our wishes for an unplugged ceremony (aka no phones or cameras!) We have hired amazing photographers who will capture every moment and we will share those with you!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed out on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

In order to allow all guests a night of relaxation and indulgence, we have chosen for our wedding to be adults only. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
