FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are asking that all RSVPs be made via online, mail, or phone no later than August 25th, 2025.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Crate & Barrel, Target, and Zola. You can find all registries linked and can buy directly off the Registry tab at the top of this website. You can also find us via in-store and online registries by looking up either of the bride and groom's names. We’d also like to note that while gifts are welcome they are not required to celebrate with us!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests may begin arriving at the venue no earlier than 2:30 PM. Guests who arrive after the 3 PM ceremony start time may be asked to wait until after the ceremony has ended to enter the premises as to not disturb the ceremony.

Question

How accessible is the venue?

Answer

While the venue is outdoors and quite literally in the middle of the woods, rest assured, guests will not be anywhere close to roughing it. There is ample parking along with handicap spaces. All paths are paved and there will be a shuttle for those who need assistance or have difficulty walking. Bathrooms are heated with lighting and full plumbing systems and both reception and ceremony areas have heating and coverage if necessary for unpleasant weather conditions! Please feel free to check out the venue via their website for more information: https://www.thewoodswedding.com.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While it’s impossible to predict what the weather will be like, early October in Western Pennsylvania is moderately warm in the day (60’s-70’s) and cooler in the evenings (50s - mid 60’s). In preparation for rain or cooler temperatures, our venue has extra coverage and heaters that ensure that all guests are comfortable.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask all guests adhere to a semi-formal or cocktail attire. With that in mind, both the ceremony and reception are outdoors so please dress accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

At this time, we would prefer that you only bring the persons named on the formal invitations. If you have been offered a plus one, the invitation will be addressed to [your name] and guest. If you have not been offered a plus one, you are welcome to ask about bringing a plus one, but we cannot guarantee space for them at this time.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Chelsea couldn’t celebrate her wedding without all her favorite kids in attendance! With that said, we would like to set a few ground rules: 1. If you do not feel your child(ren) can sit through the ceremony without interruption, we ask that you only RSVP for the reception. 2. Parents are required to keep an eye on their children during the entire evening, especially since there will be an open fire pit and a small pond on the premises. 3. The reception will be a celebration geared towards adults. Music will be uncensored and there will be an open bar. If you don’t feel comfortable bringing your child(ren) into that type of environment, we understand and have provided a link below to one of Chelsea’s agencies to assist with trusted childcare for the evening. https://www.northhillsnanny.com

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The bride and groom have set up blocks with a special rate at two separate hotels within 5 miles of the wedding’s location. For more details please go to the “Accommodations” tab at the top of this website. Please note that to receive our discounted group rate, you must book rooms prior to September 4th, 2025.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please note your food requests on the RSVP. The caterer will provide you a personal plate that accommodates your food preferences at no additional cost to the bride and groom.

Question

Will there be a cookie table? May I contribute?

Answer

For those of you who may not know, the cookie table is a cherished Pittsburgh wedding tradition where guests bring homemade cookies for all to enjoy at the wedding reception. If you have interest in bringing cookies for our cookie table, please contact Joyce Pascuzzi (mother of the groom) via phone call or text at 724-630-7650 to coordinate. All cookies for the cookie table must be at the reception venue no later than 12:00pm day of (10/4/2025).

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the venue has reserved, private parking area for guests. There is also a limited number handicap accessible parking spots.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

As of right now, all guests are required to have their own transportation to and from where they are staying that evening.
