Walk the Freedom Trail
Boston is full of history, especially our neighborhood in Charlestown! The Freedom Trail begins at Bunker Hill Monument (the site of the Battle of Bunker Hill, also our front yard) and ends at Boston Common (America's oldest park). It's the best way to see the highlights of Boston's historical landmarks in a couple of hours - we recommend having lunch at Monument Restaurant or Warren Tavern beforehand to fuel up for your walk!
Visit Fenway Park
Known by some as the Cathedral of Boston, Fenway is America's oldest ballpark and sits in the heart of the city. While you are in the area, we recommend taking a tour to learn about Red Sox legends, stopping in at Loco Taqueria for a bite to eat (get the chips and guac and a margarita if you do), or walking down Landsdowne Street to check out some of our favorite game day pubs (Bleacher Bar has a view of Fenway's outfield that rivals the Green Monster).
Explore the Harbor Walk
While the entire Harbor Walk runs through all of Boston's waterfront areas, we think the best parts are along the North End, Aquarium, and Seaport neighborhoods of the city. Grab a cannoli from Mike's Pastry, visit the New England Aquarium, or grab a drink at Reelhouse Seaport to soak in some of the city's best views of Boston Harbor.
Shop Along Newbury Street
Newbury Street is Boston's most famous shopping destination and runs through the historic Back Bay neighborhood of the city. It is in close proximity to Charles Street in Beacon Hill, known for its boutiques and restaurants, as well as the Prudential Center and the Boston Public Library, all of which are landmarks worth exploring if you are in the area. We recommend grabbing a hot chocolate from L.A. Burdick and a cookie from the Thinking Cup if you're craving a sweet treat. If you're in the mood for something savory, head to Joe's American Bar and Grill or the Street Bar in the Newbury Hotel.
