It all started with a game of kickball! Sam and Andrew met through Andrew's cousin, Frances. Before meeting Andrew, Sam met Frances during COVID because they both needed to get out of the house and found the same kickball team to play on. They both got stuck in the dugout in the first inning, started chatting, and instantly became friends. Over a short few months, Frances and Sam became great friends, and Sam visited Frances's house frequently....and that's where Andrew came into the picture. Frances and Andrew lived together. They all started to hang out together, enjoy boat days, and go out for drinks. After that, the rest was history!

Andrew had quite the surprise for Same on their annual mountain trip with Andrew's high school best friends. This year, the mountain trip was located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Throughout the day, they explored black mountain, had lunch, and then decided on a change of scenery. They drove to a nearby small college town called Montreat. Sam, Andrew, and the rest of their friends on a mountain trip took a walk around the small lake in the middle of Montreat, taking pictures and enjoying the views. In the middle of a 'not so casual' picture, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Sam to marry him. Of course, she said "Yes!"
