We met in 2020, when the world slowed down. What began as a simple connection on Bumble led us to a walk along the Burke–Gilman Trail. That walk turned into an eight-hour date that unfolded naturally, one moment leading to the next. We wandered through a Woodinville farmers market, shared lunch at Zeeks Pizza, and kept going with conversation, curiosity, and a growing connection. We drove to see the Snoqualmie Falls, then on to North Bend, where we stopped to watch a heard of elk in the distance. It was magical. By the end of the day, we found ourselves at Twede's Cafe, sharing breakfast for dinner and realizing something special had begun. Just a few dates later, on the beach at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park — overlooking the waters and Whidbey Island, where Jack grew up — he asked me to be exclusive. I said yes. Six years later, on that same beach, Jack asked me to marry him. Once again… I said yes.
