No one knows exactly how they met but it all started in youth group at a church they both attended. In 2008, they got to know each other and became friends that bloomed into something more. On January 11, 2009, they tried to enter a relationship but ended in April. A whole summer passed and both entered new relationships with other people. But they somehow reconnected once again and confided in each other about each other's relationship problems. Little did they know, feelings for each other started to come back. They officially got back together on February 1, 2010 and the rest is history. They were simply two imperfect people who found love at such a young age and embraced each other’s imperfections. Their 10-year journey hasn’t been so easy. From the complications of high school, to the struggles of college and to the beginning of their careers, they were there for each other. On October 17, 2015, they started their own family by adopting their fur baby, Lilo. Each path in their relationship, whether it be rocky or smooth, led to where they are now. They grew as individuals but grew even stronger as a couple. Their story wasn't perfect, but it was perfectly written by God, and they cannot wait to see what else is in store for them. "And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." - Colossians 3:14
There were a couple failed attempts to a proposal due to the pandemic and riots/protests. The original proposal was set to happen in Washington DC on a scavenger hunt date he planned to have during the Cherry Blossom Festival in April, however, the pandemic made this impossible. Another attempt was during one of her graduation photoshoot in May but was again delayed due to the riots/protests around the city. But on June 13th, she planned another graduation photo shoot, but little did she know that he was secretly planning a proposal with their family and friends. The morning of the photo shoot, she received a Facebook memory of their prom photoshoot together that was taken exactly 7 years ago at Fairmount Water Works. That's when he knew that it was the perfect time to pop the question. They returned to the same spot and recreated some of the photos. Then, she was asked to look away for a pose, and when she turned back around, he was on his knees. Right behind him was their family and friends with flowers and balloons, and the biggest smile on their faces as they witness this unforgettable moment of their lives.
