Jacob and I first met about 3 years ago when he moved to Phoenix from Salem. My friends and I often spent our Wednesday evenings at a country swing dance hall and Jacob was invited to tag along one night. He would come along most weeks and spend time with my friends and I there. A year or so went by and I got hired at Dutch Bros. Jacob had been working for the company for years at this point and when we saw each other at the Arizona headquarters, we were reminded of the friendship we had. From that point, we stayed in touch and would connect on social media to check in on one another's life. One time, Jacob had messaged me on Instagram and we chatted back and forth and at the end of the conversation, he said "we should just date already". I was so shocked because I did not think of him in that way. A few months went by and we decided to catch up in person and went to breakfast at Elly's Brunch & Cafe and talked for hours about life, our hearts, who we are, our faith, and so much more. As we left breakfast, I realized I didn't want to leave his side. I was absolutely taken by this man and his heart. Jacob and I continued to text all day long and he later asked me on an official date. We planned to go to the movies and get some dinner. We held hands all night long and walked away knowing there was something special here. We dated for about two weeks and Jacob officially asked me to be his girlfriend. We have been together since then and it has been the best time of my life. It was always Jacob, since that breakfast that I got to know his heart, it has always been him. Now, Jacob and I get to enter into this life called marriage by each other's side and I am so thankful to be cherished by a man who loves God first, leads us by faith, and values my delicate heart. He is my best friend and forever partner. I cannot wait to be by his side through all that God presents us with.
