Please join us for an indoor ceremony at the beautiful Canyonwood Ridge at 5pm followed immediately by a cocktail hour with passed hor d'oeuvres. This is the perfect time to capture photos with a stunning view. The reception with dinner will begin at 6:30pm. Due to COVID19 we will be assuring appropriately spaced seating in both the chapel and the reception hall. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for those who need them. Please remember we will have to follow both local and state mandates on our special day.
Instead, a friend of hers asked her to come play trivia. Stephanie debated being lame and saying no because of said appointment (it was REAL!), but instead decided to go. Ben took no convincing to go out in those days. Throughout the trivia game, Stephanie attempted to talk to Ben to no avail. BUT, towards the end of the evening, Ben finally made his move and came over to talk to Stephanie. They chatted and Ben walked her to her car, and without asking for her number, said goodnight. Bummer. In those days, Stephanie played sand volleyball on Saturday mornings. Ben had FINALLY asked for her cell phone number through a friend and had told her he wanted to join playing volleyball with the two of us. Well three became two when one friend decided to conveniently bail last minute. As Stephanie was getting ready to leave for the park, Ben texted her and also canceled! (bummer again) Instead, he asked to take her out that night, which happened to be Valentines day weekend. Their first date consisted of drinks in the Domain in Austin with two of Ben's close friends. If we could recommend a double date for everyone's first date, we would! Having the friends there helped diffuse the awkwardness of a first date. Their second date consisted of getting dinner at the Whole Foods, which resulted in an unpleasant bout of food poisoning for Stephanie. On her sick day, Ben came over on his lunch to bring her soup, sprite, and pedialyte. Boy, if he could stand to be around her in that condition, she knew he was a keeper! So here they are, 4+ years later ready to tie the knot! PS. Always reschedule your hair cuts!
