Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jessica Johnstone and Jeffrey Blake
We absolutely love the town of Hudson and the Hudson Valley and hope you will, too! Below are some of our favorite activities and stops but there are so many historic sites, rail trails, hiking trails, and distilleries to see in the area!

Warren Street

Hudson, NY

There are so many cute shops and galleries right in Hudson on Warren Street! Be sure to walk around while you’re in town.

Kitty's Market

60 South Front Street, Hudson, NY 12534
, (518) 267-6369

Great spot for breakfast, lunch, or (early) dinner including gluten free options.

Cooper's Daughter Spirits at Olde York Farm

284 New York 23, Claverack-Red Mills, NY 12513
, (518) 721-8209

An early date spot fave of ours. This family run distillery puts out a wide range of great spirits and operates their own cooperage, all while serving excellent cocktails on site at their patio bar.

Olana State Historic Site

5720 New York 9G, Hudson, NY 12534
, (518) 828-1872

Gorgeous estate offering daily tours. We haven’t actually been here yet but it is very high on our “things to do” next time we’re back in Hudson!

Greenport Conservation Area

319 Joslen Boulevard, Hudson, NY 12534

8 miles of walking trails just a few minutes outside of Hudson with great views of the Catskills and the Hudson River. Also connects with Harrier Hill Park.

Kaaterskill Falls

NY-23A, Haines Falls, NY 12436,

Gorgeous waterfall with viewing platforms and a walking trail. Maybe don’t attempt the rock scramble unless you want to fall into the river. Not that Jeff ever tried that or anything.

Art Omi

1405 County Route 22, Ghent, NY 12075
, (518) 392-4747

Sculpture garden just a 20 minute drive north of Hudson.

Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery

14 Grist Mill Lane, Gardiner, NY 12525
, (845) 419-2964

We went here for lunch on our first weekend getaway together and it’s still one of our faves in the Hudson Valley! A little far from the town of Hudson but worth the trip for the distillery tour and cocktails and its proximity to the Historic Huguenot Street.

Wallkill Valley Rail Trail

Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, Kingston, NY

22.5 mile long gravel rail trail. Great for biking with gorgeous vistas throughout. The northern entry point is a 45minute drive away from Hudson.

National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

25 Main Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326
, (888) 425-5633

2 hours isn’t THAT far, right? RIGHT?

For all the days along the way
