Williams Dorm, our freshman year of college, is where our story began! Max and I lived right next door to one another, however, didn't really interact until second semester. During spring break, we went mini putting with a few friends, where I obviously kicked his butt (college golfer). Due to our competitive nature and a little flirtation, "mini putting" in the common area of William's was how our story blossomed! We spent countless hours creating "courses" in the common area utilizing a plastic commons cup as our hole. So full circle, Max now golfs 6 out of 7 days a week, and he can thank me for all the pro tips :) On February 4th, 2012, Max asked me to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history!
Max and I had a planned trip to Europe taking off from LAX on 9/26/2019 in the afternoon. The morning started out with a bit of a struggle in regards to our rental car. Due to this, I was late to my nail appointment (as I had a feeling this was coming, I just didn't know when, and assumed it would happen sometime on our trip). Since I was late to my nail appointment, I was running a little behind as we were supposed to head to LA around 10 AMish. Anywho, I sped home and ran into our house while yelling "I am coming, I am coming". As I am saying this, I opened our slider to hear music playing, our living room covered with candles, rose petals, photos, and the personalized cards I wrote him over the last 7 years, lining a walk way up to the staircase, where he was at the very top, with roses, waiting for me. Truthfully, I blacked out once I heard music, because I WAS IN SHOCK! One of the best parts of Max proposing prior to the trip was that we were able to celebrate in Salzburg, Austria, where we studied abroad together 7 years prior when we were just 6 months into our relationship.
