Our love story began in St. Louis in 2021, where we both found ourselves in the same city, though for different reasons. Scott was navigating the challenges of residency, while Parrisa was focused on advancing her career in corporate America. Little did we know, our futures were just down the street from each other. Over the years, we’ve shared countless adventures, traveling together, making memories, and growing closer along the way. Many of these moments have been spent with our amazing family and friends, who have been a constant part of our journey. Ask us what we love about each other, and you’ll get different answers. Scott will say that whenever Parrisa is around, he becomes carefree and everything just feels better, like a sense of comfort and joy takes over. Parrisa, on the other hand, will tell you that Scott makes everything feel easy — he’s the steady presence who cares for her heart and makes her feel deeply loved. Here are some key moments from our journey so far: * October 20th, 2021: Where it all began — our first date. * October 28th, 2021: Our second date at the circus! Memorable to say the least! * December 18th, 2021: Our first 12 Bars of Charity together (and our first picture!). * December 27th, 2021: Our first (belated) Christmas together. * February 14th, 2022: Our first Valentine’s Day & Scott tried to wow with his cooking. * July 17th, 2022: Scott meets Parrisa’s parents. (P.S. It went GREAT) * July 25th, 2022: Moved to our first new city together. Denver became home. * August 20th, 2022: A Denver sports team disappoints us for the first time. Go Rapids! * November 24th, 2022: Scotts enjoys Maryland during his first thanksgiving with the Sakinejad’s. * December 25th, 2022: We go coast hopping to Seattle for Parrisa’s first Akridge Christmas. * January 13th, 2023: Learned to ski together! Guess who was better? * March 8th, 2023: The couple goes international with best friends. * July 2023: We meet the most wonderful group of people & begin forming more life long friendships. * November, 11th 2023: By this point we have hosted countless parties, but our Friendsgiving really topped the charts. * February 5th, 2024: Scott takes an exciting temporary job in Northern California and our long distance relationship starts. * May 2024: His job becomes permanent and we make the decision that Napa, CA will become home. * June 21st , 2024: The day we got engaged — the beginning of forever!
