Four years ago, I walked into a Mexican restaurant expecting nothing more than tacos and a cold drink. What I didn’t expect was Vanessa sitting there, lighting up the room with a smile that made everything else fade away. I remember stopping for a second, not because I was unsure where to sit, but because how her beautiful face genuinely took my breath away. I didn’t know it then, but that dinner would be the beginning of something that would change my life forever. From that moment on, everything started to feel lighter, brighter, and fuller. Her laughter quickly became my favorite sound, her support became my anchor, and her love for food... let’s just say we’ve had some incredible meals together. Whether we’re trying out a new spot or just cooking at home, every bite tastes better when I’m sharing it with her. But what truly makes us "us" are the adventures, the spontaneous trips, the sing along drives to Disneyland, and the moments that make us laugh until we can’t breathe. She has turned everyday life into something I never want to stop exploring. Vanessa has helped me grow into a better version of myself. Being with her has taught me how beautiful it is to truly live and love. Four years in, and I still get that same feeling I did when I first saw her across the table. Except now, I don’t have to wonder who she is. I get to love her, laugh with her, and build a life with her. And that, to me, is the greatest gift of all. Vanessa, you are my greatest adventure, my peace, my heart and I can’t wait to spend forever with you.

We officially met at Fiesta Martins in March of 2021. I was at a dinner, and Angel was invited since he’s friends with my cousins. Angel, being the generous man that he is, went out of his way to buy a rose for me and each of my girl cousins from a lady selling them. His kindness stood out, and although we stayed friends for a while, he had me at that very moment! From that day on, we became friends and talked every day. Neither of us were looking for a relationship, but somewhere in the middle of our friendship, we healed each other and found love. We had so much in common, and he brought me an incredible sense of peace and happiness. I love to say that what really stole my heart was how he would serenade me with Justin Bieber songs, but what truly made me fall in love with Angel was his heart. He is patient, kind, and the most loving person I have ever met. He always goes above and beyond, not just for me, but for his friends and family too. Both growing up in West LA, it was almost inevitable that we’d end up at the same place at some point, and that’s exactly what happened. During one of our many conversations, we realized we had a lot of mutual friends and attended some of the same gatherings. We even came across a video that we were both in —completely unaware of each other at the time. When we went ring shopping, we shared this story with the lady helping us and she introduced us to "The Red String Theory." According to this belief, people who are destined to be in each other's lives are connected by an invisible red string, and no matter the time or circumstance, life will always find a way to bring them together. Angel and I finally found each other later in life and I truly believe our separate journeys led us to this exact moment. It feels as though the universe knew we were made for each other and conspired to bring us together. He is everything I have ever dreamed of and prayed for. He is someone who loves me unconditionally, inspires me on a daily basis, shares the same Disney obsession, and brings out the very best in me... it truly doesn’t get much better than that. Angel, I am deeply in love with you, and the thought of spending forever by your side fills me with so much excitement and gratitude. I can't wait to marry you, walk through life with you, and grow old with you.
