We knew of each other throughout high school, but we never really spoke to each other. The summer of 2015 is when we really connected; we saw each other at Midtown Sundries in our hometown of Denver, NC and just hit it off through conversation. After that night, we started hanging out through a mutual friend and eventually kindled a meaningful friendship of our own. We started hanging out nearly every day during the summers- going out to eat, swimming, bowling, parties, and making memories with each other.

The fall of 2016 is when Taylor came home from college for Labor Day weekend. Of course, we spent almost every moment together during this time. By this point, we both had feelings for each other (which we both had felt for months but didn't want to chance ruining our friendship over). That Saturday night, we went out with friends for Mexican food at Mazatlan in our hometown of Denver, NC. Before we went into the restaurant, Taylor hesitated to get out of the car because her feelings had grown so much, she was ready to risk it all. She leaned over and gave Trent a big kiss, and to her surprise he kissed her back. After our kiss, we smiled and went to eat. We became an official couple on 10/22/16.
