Worth the Wait

[SUMMER 2023] It all started with a 'like' on the popular dating app Hinge. Brian and Angela exchanged a few messages before agreeing to meet for dinner. Great start, except Angela initially flaked. How was she supposed to know she almost missed her future husband? Luckily, Angela reached back out to Brian to reschedule a couple weeks later. They met at a new restaurant in Arlington called Chicken and Whiskey. Although they were ironically out of chicken that night, Brian and Angela had a great first date. Both of them left thinking that this could be something special. [FALL 2023] Brian and Angela start to spend more time together. They learn they have a lot in common. They grew up in the neighborhoods right next to each other. They know people in common. They have the same favorite foods. They both (very importantly) hate being hot. They also slowly start to meet more people in each other's lives. [WINTER 2023/2024] Brian meets Angela's large family for Christmas and on New Years Day. They also go on their first big international trip together. Big step! They spend 5 amazing days in Cancun, Mexico eating great food, relaxing by the beach, falling more in love, and getting sun burn. [SPRING 2024] They talk about the future. Where do we want to be? What should our life look like? What if we lived next door to all of Angela's friends? Should we just leave everything behind and retire in Bali next year? You know, the important questions. They also go on their second big trip to Barcelona, Spain where more unforgettable memories were made. [SUMMER 2024] Angela moves into Brian's house in Springfield. A big change for both of them. The adjustment is easy and a lot of fun. They also shop for and find an engagement ring. Brian said it was "too important" and "too expensive" to do alone. [FALL 2024] Angela and Brian go on a trip to Oktoberfest and Switzerland for Angela's birthday. Brian pops the big question. Angela says, "yes". Both blacked out and do not remember exactly what happened but the scenery and trip was magical. [SEASONS AHEAD] Angela and Brian have a very similar vision for the future. A house in Northern Virginia, a couple kids, and a community of amazing family and friends. They both know life doesn't go according to plan, so they don't plan that far ahead. They want to tackle things as they come, together.
