A small town boy and a big city girl... pretty Hallmark movie if you ask me. Well, this is kind of how we started. Ana ended up in a little town she never heard about, and sometimes God's plans start working before we realize. He did not take long either, they technically met the first day of school, when Ana happened to sit right in front of Calvin in their World History class. Which again, Calvin was pretty shy when Ana was... well, not. They did not become best friends then, not even friends considering they might have exchanged maybe 35 words besides hi's and bye's. Calvin worked at the food center, and Ana always saw him and would say hi, and that was about it. Except... well, she moved into his house later. Ana had met Krystal (Calvin's aunt) and they got along, and Krystal helped connect Ana to Angela, Calvin's mom. Ana got along really well with all the girls, not even knowing Calvin was part of the family originally, since he was not there when they all met. Surprise! I guess we became family? They did not get along very well at first, when Angela would make jokes about them getting married they would say "uh no" or when Ana had to take care of the hideous fake baby for Health class and she would say Calvin could use practice for our future kids and they would be in shock... well, after living together for a few months, and a pandemic happening which made them HAVE to be together, they sorted out their differences... a little too well. I guess Angela is a true prophet! Haha All was perfect, except all exchange students were sent to their original countries due to the pandemic, and some might have thought that was the end, but after over a year, after hundreds of calls, Calvin went to visit Brazil for some time (ended up staying twice as long thankfully), and shortly after Ana went after him to the U.S. Dating in person after dating online for so long was such an experience, they had no idea how to do life, they were freshly thrown into the world learning to become adults. They had their downs too, they lived in Airbnb's, then upgraded to an apartment of their own (except is was less than 500sqft and right next to a Jail and OBT, aka danger zone), then they actually upgraded to a nicer area where basically their only issue was having carpet! Pretty nice problem to have if we compare! Through these three years, they had their hamster Poppy Pie (she will always be remembered), Franklin Kitkat (their fat grumpy kitty), Nala Clementine (their normal sized loving kitty), and made lifelong friends in their journey. Thank you for being part of our lives. Living together for three years, we were able to learn so much about each other, become such better versions of ourselves, learn how to communicate well, house chores (thank goodness we figured that out), help each other, laugh together, and most importantly, love each other. Trust God will make it happen if it's meant to happen! Love is always worth it. -With love, Ana & Calvin
