Sarah and Jake met on October 2, 2019, when Sarah's EMT class had a study group at the fire department where Jake was a firefighter. Sarah met Jake and they talked the entire time but they forgot to exchange numbers! The next day, Sarah asked one of Jake's friends for Jake's number and they hit it off! However, Jake was leaving for Army basic training a few weeks later so they lost touch for a few months. When Jake came home, he asked Sarah on a date and the rest is history! Almost seven years later, they can't wait to get married and celebrate with all of their friends and family!

On July 30, 2025 Jake and Sarah were on vacation in Switzerland with Sarah’s family. They went up to the Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt and were taking pictures and that’s when Jake got down on one knee and popped the question!
