June 19, otherwise known as Juneteenth, is a day we celebrate the freedom of those who have been enslaved in America. We acknowledge this day in history with it's impact on race in America as we bring our families together.
Yes, and the hotel will help you schedule your test which will take place on the property before you leave.
We'll be providing shuttle buses (we mean, party buses) to and from the Playa Grande from the front drive of the hotel at 6:00 PM.
In short, NO, you are not required to stay at our contracted hotel however it is STRONGLY advised that you do. We've negotiated a great rate, we'll be gathering by the pool here and this is where transportation to and from the wedding will be organized. Please visit the 'Travel and Accommodations' tab to book your room.
You must book your hotel room at the Playa Grande BEFORE May 16, 2021. After this date, our room block will close and the rate will increase.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, jumpsuits or if that's not your vibe, pantsuits. Gentlemen should wear a suit and tie, slacks and a button down (short sleeved). Keep in mind the weather in June is expected to be hot in the low to mid 80s.
We have chosen for our wedding ceremony and reception to be an adult-only occasion. If you do decide to bring your child/children, childcare will be provided by a certified nanny on property at the Sunset Monalisa for the duration of the wedding. Please let Matt or Whitney know if this is a service you'd like to use by May 1st.
