We’re Getting Married!!!

After connecting randomly on Facebook Dating and meeting on Halloween to do trick-or-treating at the Powerhouse Mall we just randomly fell together quirks and all. The beginning of the road was rough trying to meld two families into one, eventually though it all fell in to place and there was no looking back. Now we’ve decided to take the next step in our life’s journey and get hitched. (Phil’s phrasing)

We were laying on his bed one night watching tv when he reaches over and wraps his arms around me and says mine. I said oh really then you're mine and he tells me I don't see a ring on it. Fast forward a couple months and we are sitting on the bed at my moms and I tell him to close his eyes and I proceed to tie a necklace with a ring on it around his neck. I say there's a ring on you now, now you're mine. Couple more months go by and we are standing in Jake's out in Canaan debating on ice cream. He comes up behind me, wraps his arms around me and says "so baby when we getting hitched?" I laughed and said I thought you didn't want to get married. He tells me he's been doing some serious thinking lately and so I used his line on him and said I don't see a ring on it. So that was that for a few months. Finally April 30, 2021 he is out shopping and starts asking me about what metals I can wear and then says what's your ring size (super subtle) He comes and picks me up on lunch and I ask him what all the questions were about. He passes me a Walmart shopping bag and in it are two jewelry boxes, I open one and it's a wedding ring set, the engagement ring and matching band. The other is another gorgeous ring he bought for me to wear at work instead of the regular one so that the stone didn't get stuck on something or scratch the kids. I have this huge grin on my face as I look at him and ask so its official now and he says yes. Finally we were engaged.
