Our love story is not one you often hear about, I never looked at Michael in any way other than my brothers best friend, but that all changed one night while dog sitting ( R.I.P. sweet Sonny boy). While dog sitting one night I was bored so I decided to Snapchat Michael to see if I would get a response, to my surprise I actually did. I had not seen or spoken to Michael in almost a year in a half so the conversation was nothing more than catching up and seeing how everyone was. We then decided to hangout one night to catch up some more, who would have known that it would have led to getting married. We hung out almost everyday while I was dog sitting but when that was coming close to an end we were nervous about the next step, TELLING MY BROTHER, luckily it went over better then we expected. Once that was over and done with our relationship continued to grow. We have since been inseparable, Michael has become my best friend, my better half, and my soulmate. I cannot wait until the day we say "I DO!"
It was a regular Friday for me, I came home from work, relaxed for a little bit then started to get ready for what I thought was going out to dinner with friends. Around 5:30 Michael said "Let's go take the dogs for a walk real quick at the park before we go to dinner". It wasn't something unusual because we always took them for a walk there, I just didn't want to go that day because, of course, it was super hot outside and I had just done my hair and did not want to go out in the heat. So I told him to just take them out front real quick, but he was persistent on going to the park. So off to the park we went, nothing was different, we talked and Michael was acting completely normal. We stopped at the little ice cream shop in the middle of the park and Michael told me he wanted to get a water because he was hot. So we went inside to get a water and he said lets go sit out on the deck for a little. As I walked out I saw a table all set up with roses, candles, and champagne. He told me to sit down and then got on one knee and popped the question! But the surprises didn't end there. We sat there for a little drank some champagne, talked, and took some pictures. We then started to walk back home, as I was in front of my house I began to hear “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, as I walked up the drive way and saw all of my family and friends there to celebrate with me. BUT it also didn't end there, as I got to the top of my driveway I looked to the left and saw my best friend from Florida standing there! Michael had planned the best day/night of my life and I will never forget it.
