A Cowboy meets a Jersey Girl

Was it love at first sight for either of us? No. Was it love at first laugh? Yes. Savannah's Story: Kyle was assigned to my hometown congregation of Mahwah, NJ when he came to Bethel. A typical new boy it seemed. Wide eyed by coming to another coast, and excited to be at Warwick. After several months of being in the hall, we hung out at a Tour Dept Beach day down the shore. I was new to the department and only kind of knew Kyle. At some point we got talking with each other as we got ice cream. I was impressed with how much he's traveled and how funny he is. Thought nothing more of being a friend at the time. A little while later he invited me to a dance party along with a couple of other sisters. I was impressed by how he wasn't afraid to dance with anyone and was perfectly happy acting goofy to make others who are more timid feel at ease. I was trying to set him up with a friend of mine. I told her you should go for someone like him! He's such a good solid guy. A true gentle giant. She said no, so I said to her "then I will". So i did. I've been impressed by how mature he handled himself emotionally and most importantly spiritually. It made me unafraid of going through life with him and being protected. When getting to know him I've found that he embodies the quality of Goodness better than most. And if you know Kyle you know what I mean by that. He's willing to help anyone and everyone, in whatever way they need it. He's truly everything I've ever prayed for and then some. Jehovah knew exactly who I needed to be my other half, and I am eternally grateful for him. Kyle's Story: Savannah welcomed me to her home congregation in Mahwah, NJ. As I got to know her, it became clear that she was a kind and welcoming person from the very beginning. After spending time with her, I saw a different side of her. Initially, she was a bit shy, but I discovered that I could make her smile, even when I embarrassed myself. That smile made me want to continue to see her happy. Savannah always invited me to her family's house and made me feel like I had a home in Mahwah. She became a close friend that I could turn to. We continued to get to know each other, and a mutual friend of ours noticed. He offered to chaperone us if we ever needed it. At that point, we hadn't discussed our mutual interest in each other, so it was a wake-up call for me to talk about our relationship. And so I did. The time I've spent with Savannah has made me realize how caring and loving she is. She would do anything for the people she cares about, even if she doesn't always receive the recognition she deserves. I've always wanted someone who puts Jehovah first, and seeing Savannah do that at the Congregation or at Bethel confirmed that she was the one. She is the spiritual woman I've prayed for. Savannah has made me understand that home is a person, and I'm so happy to have found my new home.
