Parker and Virginia met on a December night in Charleston at the end of 2018. Parker was with his South Carolina Stingrays hockey teammates and little sister Mara, and after spotting Virginia, he worked up the courage to ask for her number. They eventually went on their first date on a Sunday afternoon at Revelry Brewing, and they found they had a lot in common; both liked traveling, visiting breweries/restaurants and spending time with family. Virginia, a second year medical student at MUSC at the time, knew very little about hockey but was eager to learn, which Parker appreciated. One beer on the roof after a long day of studying for Virginia turned into a six hour date that concluded with nachos at Home Team BBQ. 18 months later, Parker proposed to Virginia on a Sunday afternoon in June at Revelry Brewing where it all began before celebrating with a small group of friends and family. Fun Facts: -Parker's little sister Mara was there when the couple met, but she didn't actually meet Virginia for another year. -On their second date, Virginia and Parker went to 167 Raw. Parker was mute for the first half of the date but eventually recovered. -Parker used to write the Wedding Announcements for Charleston Magazine (so you can guess who wrote this) -Virginia and Parker's families met at a South Carolina Stingrays game at the beginning of March 2019. It was Parker's bobblehead night, and Virginia did her best to make introductions while watching the game. Luckily, Parker's best man Brooks was there to keep everyone entertained.
