We met in highschool through mutual friends. We would see eachother often through group events and even had math class with Mr. Rippy together, but we were never really all that close. We did not keep in touch after high school, other than keeping up on each others facebook posts. Then one day, six years after high school, Parker walked into the store that I was working at. Parker worked at Orangetheory just a few doors down from my store, before we knew it his visits to the store became more and more frequent. Sometimes coming in multiple times a day, until one day he asked me on our first date.
Parker has always been very forward, there is no beating around the bush with him. So when it came to asking me out on a date, he didn’t give me the option to say no. Parker planned a fun filled night with sushi at Yoi Tomo and games at Big Als. We were having so much fun, that before you knew it, it was midnight and we both had early mornings at work the next day. We were wrapping up our time together and I had decided I was going to “make a move” (yes on the first date). I thought I was being smooth, but Parker had turned my goodnight kiss into. . .a goodnight hug. All I could think was “I blew that one” but the next day there Parker was in my store asking me on date number two. By date number three Parker made things official by asking me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history. . .
After three years of building a relationship together and purchasing our first home we both knew and had confidence that marriage was in the future for us. Parker had planned a beautiful proposal in the mountains. We parked our trailed in one of our favortie spots by the river, then porceeded to hike up to one of my favorite spots in Pine. On the way back from our hike, Parker set up his phone to take a picture on my favorite bridge, and that's where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, there was another surprise in store for me. Parker had arranged for both his family and mine to be there to celebrate with us. When we arrived back at our camp site both families were there to greet us with open arms. It was so special to be able to spend that time with our whole family.
