Sir El is a Loving, Kind, Dope, (Protective) sister that I met at Michfest a few years ago. The love that this person and I have is unbreakable and I could not imagine marrying the love of life without them by my side. El is my best friend and platonic soul mate. El is understanding, fearless and supportive. Over the years, we have gotten into many shenanigans, cried together, and supported each other on our new life journeys. With quality over quantity, I can confidently say that this person is ONE of the greatest influences in my life and I am forever grateful to have then as my Best Friend. #GoBestfriendthatsmybestfriend

Dion is Rahjah's brother. He is quiet until you get to know him. He has a playful spirit and enjoys collecting shoes. He is also an awesome chef. Dion is a dedicated father of 3 and is working on his dream, Fry Guy food truck. Parker and Dion met first and they had a wonderful connection. So much that he will be standing on Parker's side during the ceremony.

A Lifetime of Friendship Emily and I meet 15 years ago at Joliet Job Crops. She was my mentor for the program. We shared an interest in music, dancing, and culture amongst other things. After Job Corps, we moved in together and our friendship grew stronger. As teenagers and young adults, Emily and I got into a lot of shenanigans and broke a lot of rules (not regretting a single one). As we matured we continued to love and encourage one another. Many things have tried to affect our friendship; distance, relationships, and even adulting but even with 250 miles between us we are still Friends.

DeAndre is my youngest brother and my favorite sidekick. We have been connected emotionally since he was born. He is the kindest and gentlest Giant. He has a big heart, he shows affection and loves to smile. My little brother is a all around wonderful person and Athlete and I am honored to have him by my side.

Keisha and Rahjah are the closest cousins in her family. They have created an unbreakable bond over the years while overcoming challenges in their family. Keisha has been a support person for Rahjah and Vice versa. She is a mother of now 3 (new baby came 8/5). We are grateful to have her here so shortly after birthing.

Tavie is our daughter and mother of our 2 grand babies, Jasadiah and KyAire. She an amazing and talented singer and loves to dance. So don't be surprised to hear her say "That's my jam" to every song that comes on.

Kimmie is Parker's sister. Kim is the mother of 3 amazingly intelligent children. She is an Ally and an advocate for social justice and the LGBTQ community. Kimmie is an Artist with many other talents including research, gardening, and hiking.
