Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We love your little ones and they are welcome to celebrate with us. We will have some kids entertainment and kid-friendly snacks and drinks, so please include them in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! The open bar will have a limited selection, featuring a few of our favorite cocktails, beer, and wine.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress is casual to cocktail. Dress comfortably but a little dressy—sundresses, button-downs, and summer dresses are great choices! We want you to feel comfortable, but it's always fun to have an excuse to dress up! We're not picky or fancy!

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at The Kessel Building and Courtyard in Slaton, Texas. The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM, will be short and sweet, and the reception celebration will follow right after!

Will the wedding be indoors?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors because it's July in Texas and nobody wants to suffer. The courtyard will be open for any kids who want to run free — or adults who want to enjoy it once the sun goes down!

Transportation

Answer

Rideshare options like Uber and Lyft are somewhat limited in the area, so we recommend planning transportation ahead of time if you plan to enjoy the open bar. Consider carpooling, designating a driver, or arranging a ride in advance so everyone gets home safely! We want everybody to enjoy themselves while also remaining safe!

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are plenty of hotel options in Lubbock to suit different preferences! Downtown Lubbock: The Hyatt Place is a lovely option, though it’s a slightly longer drive to the venue. South Side / Near Slaton: If you want a shorter drive (5–10 minutes less), consider hotels along Interstate 27, like the La Quinta or Holiday Inn. Slaton: There is one small, non-chain hotel in town with very limited rooms, so book early if you choose this option. We recommend booking soon to secure your spot!
